Descriptioncase: In the form of a stylized shell, each lid with corded border and repousse with 5 lobes spreading from leafy calyx, engraved with flowering vines, the moulded band similarly engraved, loose ring and leaf pendant, turned drop
MVT: Shaped plates conforming to the outline of the case, scrollwork engraved border, early 17th c. balance cock, wheelwork made up of 17/18th c. parts in an arrangement resembling a functioning watch; lacks barrel clicks, setup ratchet, verge and balance which may never have been present.
