DescriptionCase: Cruciform, with two-part hinged lid set with t-shell panels, each carved with inhabited foliage, depicting boar hunt, the panelled sides similarly carved with flowering vines, the single back lid with another hunting scene; the front opening to reveal a cruciform dial plate within gilt border engraved with husks enclosing t-shell carved with vines andbirds, the interior of the lids set with openwork t-shell foliage. mvt: cruciform, the backplate engraved with flowering foliage, backplate furniture imitating floral pierced cock, ratchet and click, the wheel work consisting of 17/18th c. parts arranged to resemble a wheel train.
