DescriptionIvory enhanced with steel beading, oval with hinged lids, each carved with allegorical scene of putti and lovers and another with ? Eridanus, the band carved with running hounds, stags, and hares among leafy scrolls. mvt: appears to be late 18th c., verge movement reshaped to oval, engraved with scrolls and altered with replacement with scroll balance bridge and mainspring ratchet t Dial: silver chapter ring on ivory plate carved with hound, hare and birds among leafy scrolls.
