DescriptionCase:
watch was a composite of an c. 1800 movement and case made much later; movement: drum shaped, moulded hinged lid pierced with scrolls and grotesques with in ribbon-tied wreath border, identical base, but not pierced leaving matted ground, patches of what resemble soldered repairs, band with frieze of scrolling. Foliage inhabited by exotic animals.

Movement: Swiss verge bridge cock movement of c. 1800 with pierced backplate chase with scrolls, regulator, coqueret, fitted inot recess with lid and covered by leafy scroll engraved plate supported by three plain pillars.
