DescriptionThin enamelled gold center seconds watch with virgule escapement

Case: Back enamelled with pastoral landscape and figures of Muse with Lyre and putto playing flute, bezels set with split pearls

Movement: thin, gilt full plate employing substantial pillar plate chased with leafy scrolls on matted ground, supporting raised barrel cap and pierced bridge with setting square between, diamond endstone in blued chaton, train pivoted in shaped plate secured to pillars within recess in pillar plate, circular subplate carries the "seconds morte" mechanism consisting of toothed wheel, flirt and cam with tension spring
