Label TextPiqué work reached the pinnacle of its popularity in the late nineteenth century when it adorned the surfaces of a myriad of small objects. Piqué decoration was either piqué point, which consists of patterns of stars or dots, or piqué posé, which uses strips of gold or silver to produce scalloped or geometrical designs.
