Label TextAt the end of the eighteenth century, watches with subsidiary dials indicating the date, day of the week, time, and seconds demonstrated the growing interest in precision timekeeping. Most of these watches, known as calendar watches, required resetting at the end of each month with fewer than thirty-one days.
