DescriptionPieced quilt top consisting of squares in the log cabin pattern using cotton and silk fabrics. There are 16 rows and 12 columns bordered by an applied red pile fabric border/binding. The lining is created from several pieces of silk fabric. There is a printed ikat fabric incorporated in some of the pieced squares.On View

Label TextAccording to the donor, the maker of this quilt was a daughter of Moses Parker, a drummer boy in the war of 1812. She was born May 30, 1835 and grew up in Whitesboro, NY. She married John Joel Curtis, owner of several area sawmills.
