Label TextThis watch was made at a time when repoussé work on metal watches was less popular. The waning taste for the style may have induced the repousseur of this watchcase to fashion an uncommon scene. While most eighteenth-century repoussé watches illustrate mythological or biblical scenes, the vignette on this watch shows a horseman and three figures.
