Label TextThe Crystal Spring Brewing Co. was founded in Syracuse in 1887 and became the Haberle Crystal Spring Brewing Co. after an 1892 merger. Smoking was an overwhelmingly male custom as was frequenting saloons, and this promotional matchsafe would most likely have been found on the bar of a drinking establishment.
