DescriptionCase: inner: band pierced and engraved with leafy scrolls and strapwork, enclosing vacant quatrefoil panel with scalework border, outer: band pierced with strapwork and scrolls between shaped panels repousse with trophies of Love, enclosing scene of seated gentleman offering crown to his lady.
Mvt: gilt, tapered cylindrical baluster pillars, pierced cock and furniture chased with leafy scrolls, incomplete quarter repeating work under dial, wound by rack and pinion when pendant is depressed, single hammer, weighted pinion governor.
