Label TextGilman Collamore & Company, a New York City shop active on Fifth Avenue from 1890-1920, offered this clock among other high quality imported French and English luxury goods, particularly fine china, porcelain, pottery, and glassware. The clockworks are made in France. The hand-painted clock case recalls traditional Dutch earthenware tiles. The tall-case form is purely decorative since these clock works do not require a pendulum.
