DescriptionHoused in rectangular dark brown wood frame, 4-7/8 x 4-5/16 in., with oval concavity centering gilt copper tooth-rim, with stamped decoration at edge. Lens original very slightly convex. Frame verso bears no visible marks, but has remants of (probably original) blue-paper dust-seal. Accompanied by old roughly cut cardboard oval, uninscribed, with no remnants of miniature attachment. Modern label on frame verso indicates purchase from artists's family.
