DescriptionMechanical parlor amusement featuring a seated figure ancased in a glass dome. Figure is a monkey-faced creature holding a trombone, seated on a box in front of a music stand. A white poodle joins him. They sit in an outdoor garden setting surrounded by a leaf and vine covered trellace. Base is black wood. The knobs on the side and hole for winding key would have been involved in the mechanisms of it all.On View
