Label TextAccording to information obtained from the Oneida County Historical Society, 'John C. Waelde from Wittenberg, Germany, operated a stoneware pottery in the village of North Bay on the eastern shore of Oneida Lake, in the town of Vienna, Oneida County, from 1851 until his death c. 1876. His kiln was located at the confluence of Mill Stream and Oneida Lake.'
