Label TextHenry M. Lawton was listed in the 1869 Oneida County Directory as being a partner in Lawton & Mudge, dealers in groceries and provisions, at the corner of Dominick and James Streets. In 1878, the listing changed to H. M. Lawton & Co. and by 1884, the firm was out of business.
