Label TextFloral subject matter provided a cohesive decorative formula. Flower patterns were not only incorporated into furniture forms, they were also embodied in upholstery, curtains, wallpaper, and smaller decorative arts. No article, functional or decorative, was left unadorned.
Tiebacks were used to hold back heavy drapery at windows and doorways. Other floral examples of this form are on view in the bedroom and parlor of Fountain Elms.
