Label TextFrench artist Jacques Sicard worked for Weller Pottery from 1902 until 1907 and helped the company produce a line of art pottery called Sicardo. This collection combined molded forms with metallic decoration, the subject matter of which was derived from nature. One contemporary critic noted that the use of metallic lusters required "not only the fine color sense of the artist, but the skill and knowledge of the chemist; these gifts M[onsieur] Sicard happily possesses."
